i started my graph today. I figured out how how to make my graph because at first it was not working. Since I figured it out I do not have to go to the excel workshop.

data

Today I collected more data. I will collect until the end of the week. I will end up having 8 points.

Data Table

My dat table is due on monday. I have to make sure I have all my data in the data table when I turn it in on monday. I have to compare it to the rubric to make sure I get full credit for it. I also have to post it to my blog just in case. I also have to work on my graph. I am going to the excel workshop to learn how to make my graph better.

No CWP

Today I do not have cwp so I have no way to collect data during the day so I am coming after school. We got a new shipment of elodea so we will not run out, I am finally understanding what to do with the elodea. I have to work more on my data tables.

This is my experiment I will keep the elodea in from 10:00 until the end of the day when I will count the amount of bubbles in the test tubes.

Elodea

Today I set up my new experiment with elodea. I kept the same variables but diluted them more. I am working on a new procedure and data table for my new experiment. I am also researching to see if I can measure anything other than the bubbles for the elodea. Interested to see the results and am hopeful that my results will be better than last time.

Problems

Today I got my lab report back. I would have done well but I forgot to include my bibliography, which brought my grade dow 13 points. I also came to school to find that my brine shrimp were dead. I know have to start a new experiment with elodea. Should be interesting to find my results.

data so far

today i collected my second set of data points. Surprisingly the brine shrimp have still not hatched in the containers with the cleaners. The ones in water did hatch however and are at a population size of 72.5 brine shrimp per ml of water. I turned my research paper in on time yesterday and I made a lot of changes to that.

Problem

Today as I was double checking the salt content in my buckets I encountered a few issues. One was that lysol had a starting salt level similar to what I needed which I had not accounted for. Also the instructions were not right because the salt quantity was to low for the brine shrimp to live in when I put in the amount that they said to.

starting

today i put my materials into the containers and tomorrow will put the brine shrimp in. I hope that they hatch in the windex and lysol and am a little worried about that. I also have to remember to put the salt in or else they won't hatch at all. I also have to start up again on my research paper I have a bunch of corrections to do for that.

Experimental Design

I had a setback today as my experimental design got shot down. It should be easy to fix but I have a little more research to do. I also have to be working on my research paper at the same time so it is a lot to do. I should be able to finish soon though because it is not that much. I am also kind of sick but I am trying to stay in school so I do not get to far behind.

Tanks

Today I am buying my tanks. Tomorrow I will finally set up my experiment. Yesterday I went to 2 different stores and could not find a tank for the brine shrimp. Although I do feel a little behind because I am still setting up my experiment I should be okay as long as I get started this week. I hope I can find my tanks today.

Starting my experiment

I am starting my experiment tomorrow I hope. I finished my experimental design, and am buying my tanks today. My experiment is underway and I am making a lot of small decisions that will have a big effect on my experiment.

Experimental design

I am almost done with my experimental design. I have to buy containers for my brine shrimp over the weekend. I am excited to get underway with my experiment. The counting of the shrimp samples seems a little tedious however.

Experimental Design

I need to write my experimental design soon. I started it a while ago but am still figuring out my smaller details. I am underway but am feeling a little overwhelmed. I think I can manage it but there is a lot of stuff going on right now with my other classes.

Almost done

All I have to do today is finish my paper by putting in in-text citations and finishing my bibliography. I finished my paper writing yesterday. It is a little short but with in text citation should meet the requirements.

Paper

Today I am working on my research paper which I hope to have finished by the weekend but am not hopeful I now that I will however finish on time with no issues. I am a little worried that I am not sure what is required but I figured it out.

Accepted

Finally

Today I handed in my application. I hit a speed bump however on the way however as I had trouble getting onto turnitin and was not in class today. I figured it out however going to see Ms. Weissman and turning it in on time. hopefully I will get accepted on my first try. 

Application Due tommorrow

Tomorrow my application is due. I have almost finished but I have also added a new element to my project adding in Lysol. I think this will give me better results, as I can compare the three substances. I Also decided what green cleaner I will use, Seventh Generation Natural Glass and Surface cleaner. I am looking forward to starting my experiment and finding out my results.

My project

Today I decided what my topic is going to be. I am going to have three bins one with windex and water. One is going to be all water, my control. The other will be of a green cleaning substance and water.

I want to see the effect of green cleaning substances compared to windex to see if it actually better for they environment.
